Announcement concerning the designated teams to elaborate the Strategy and Policy Studies (SPOS 2012)
The selection process concerning the Strategy and Policy Studies (SPOS 2012) submissions is over, based on the evaluation of the application dossiers submitted by the candidates and the reference terms provided by the beneficiary institutions.
84 applications have been received. While evaluating the application files, it was taken into account the fulfillment of the general and specific criteria, mentioned into the announcement concerning the selection process SPOS 2012, as well as the necessity to ensure cohesion between the members of the research teams.
Given the available criteria and the analysis of the application files, the following teams were selected to elaborate the SPOS 2012 studies:

Call for Working Papers – 2012 EIR Micro-Studies Series
The micro-studies (Working Papers) series, coordinated by EIR, approaches topics which are relevant and adapted to the current domestic and European context.
This way, EIR welcomes potential authors from various fields of activity, including researchers from University centers and Academy institures, who can contribute to tackling topics that are specific to the field of European affairs. In this sense, the collection of micro-studies (Working Papers) offers all authors and researchers interested in the European dimension the possibility to have their micro-studies published online as part of the EIR collection.
Working Papers support the exchange of ideas scientifically fundamented and facilitates the dissemination of information and opinions for the shaping up of a Romanian perspective with regard to European processes.
Guidelines for authors
The micro-studies may be published in Romanian or in a bilingual issue, in Romanian and English.
They must have between 25 and 35 pages, and also include an abstract in English, as well as a short autobiography of the authors. Micro-studies must feature the structure of the paper, detailed in chapters, as well bibliographical references.
The authors may include in the text or the annexes of the study tables, graphs or sketches, in order to support his argumentation.
All the papers need to be presented in Microsoft Office Word, 12 Times New Roman format, at 1.5 rows, at the e-mail address: agnes.nicolescu@ier.ro, with the specification „ For EIR Studies Collection”.
It is highly recommended to avoid an excessively specialized language, as well as the abusive use of mathematical formula.
Selection of papers
Each paper proposed for publication undergoes a selection process before being accepted. During the evaluation procedure, a series of factors, both qualitative and quantitative, are taken into consideration.
Should a paper be accepted, the editorial board has the right to edit the materials, when necessary, while keeping the spirit of the original paper.
Starting with 2010, the submission of a Working Paper for evaluation and further publication in WP series involves that the author accepts the copyright policy of the Working Papers series.
